Adam’s background brings his experience in real estate finance, development, and design to the creation of Parafin. His experience with extremely complex financial analysis, design and construction prepared him to recognize the immense power of merging design and development.

Prior to founding Parafin, Adam oversaw the real estate development operations of C-Suites by H.ME, and founded a residential real estate development company in Chicago.  Previous to his entrepreneurial endeavors, Adam was involved with the development of the $5B Atlantic Yards and Barclays Center Project in Brooklyn, NY. During the nearly eight years at Forest City Ratner Companies, he oversaw investment analysis of the Atlantic Yards project and lead a team of project managers, construction managers, accountants, and software developer to develop a cost control system to integrate the many pieces of the uniquely complex project.

A licensed Professional Engineer in the State of California, Adam practiced Structural Engineering, as well as MEP design before transitioning into real estate development.  Adam attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he earned a Masters of Real Estate Development from the MIT Center for Real Estate. He earned a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois, and Master of Structural Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Adam is also responsible for launching the Market Urbanism movement, which has gained traction in the efforts to make cities more vibrant and affordable.
